Animation summary and script. First draft.

Animation script- first idea.

Summary of scene:

This scene shows a bustling city. Pedestrians fill the pavement and the roads are gridlocked. The sound of car horns is frequent as irritated drivers turn on each other. Slowly there is a lull in the road rage as more and more people turn their attention to a figure floating high above the city.

He is breathing heavily, and is in a state of anger. Suddenly a he roars something unheard from the street, and then projects a powerful beam of energy from his hands towards the ground.

The city erupts in pandemonium. Cars and bodies are flung into the air as a huge shockwave decimates the surrounding area. Buildings collapse and the road is ripped from the ground.

Then the figure stops his attack. He is calm now. Only the burning city is left below, the crack of fire the only sound to be heard besides the figures slow breathing.

Scene run-through:

Shot 1 and 8- Close-up of face of character in sky, zoomed into eye.

The characters’ breathing is the only sound. The breathing is heavy in 1 and calm in 8.

Week 7

This week i completed the multiplane tutorial. it taught how to use pegs for camera and character movement and also how to move objects back and forth in a scene.

the video was made by following the tutorial, it isn't my own work.

week 5 and 6

This week we looked at using cutout animation. the technique can use a picture which is then separated into pieces, however i drew my own body parts instead. i created an animation of a robot jumping across the screen. i used the peg element to move the character across and upwards to show the jumping movement. i then used key frames to create the animation, with a combination of the motion and rotate tools.

Here is my completed lecture exercise on cartoon photos.

I used Photoshop to trace the outline and then coloured in the spaces.
